The Arc of Carroll County Receives BJ's Grant

The grant will go towards purchasing curriculum guides and clerical supplies.

The Arc of Carroll County has received a $5,000 grant from the BJ’s Charitable Foundation to purchase curriculum guides and clerical supplies for two programs alongside the Carroll County Public Schools and the new Job Development Center at The Arc.

The Arc provides instructional support within the county school system to teach job skills and readiness to students age 16 through 21 with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

"The overarching goal is to have as many students as possible employed when they exit the school system," according to a press release on The Arc website. The Arc also conducts similar training in job skills and career development for adults with developmental disabilities who passed through the school system before such training was available.
