Water Service to be Interrupted on Woodridge Lane Today

The department of utilities is shutting down water service for the afternoon to repair a broken water main.

Carroll County Bureau of Utilities is shutting down water service to
approximately 25 homes today for emergency repairs to a broken 6-inch water main on Woodridge Lane according to a news release.

Service was shut down at noon today and will remain off for about 4 hours or until work is complete.

Once service is restored residents may experience cloudy water lasting up to an hour. Turning the cold water tap on and running water for several minutes will clear the lines. It is advisable to refrain from using high water volume appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, etc., during periods of cloudy water or low pressure.
