A high wind warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.

The fire weather alert went into effect around 8:40 this morning and will remain in effect until 9 p.m. this evening.

According to Weather Underground, a red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures will
create explosive fire growth potential.
