Where the Wild Things Are

Tree of Life Theatre Troupe is about to open their 10th annual summer camp with an entirely original production of Where the Wild Things Are! We are celebrating Maurice Sendak's 50th anniversary of winning the Caldecott Award for this memorable children's book by writing an original adaptation of not just this story, but Mr. Sendak's broad compilation of children's storybooks. Pieces of many fabulous stories like In the Night Kitchen, The Sign on Rosie's Door, & Chicken Soup With Rice are just a few of the books included in our story! Plus, we will be bringing in classic rock music to make this a full musical production! Everyone loves listening to our students sing the hits of decades from our past! It's a great way to bring classic children's' literature to life with a touch of rock n' roll! We'd love to have you visit & get to know our campers, staff, & story!!! The show opens Thursday, July 31st. We will have 2 evening shows, July 31st & August 1st at 7pm & a Saturday matinee on August 2nd at 2 pm. All shows held at Friendship Baptist Church.
Tickets can also be purchased at www.mycommunitytickets.com
