Carroll County Man Dies Almost a Month After Car Accident

A Mt. Airy man died Monday from injuries sustained during a car accident in March.

A man who hit a tree with his car in March off of Harrisville Road in Mt. Airy has died from his injuries, according to Maryland State Police.

A man riding in the passenger seat at the time of the accident is still suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Shortly after 11:30 a.m. on March 16, police responded to an accident on Harrisville Road, east of Buffalo Road.

Michael James Quick, 22, of the 7200 block of Honeybush Drive in Mt. Airy was driving a 2010 Camaro eastbound on Harrisville Road when he lost control, causing the vehicle to cross the centerline on the road, leave the roadway and strike a tree. 

Quick and the front seat passenger, Martin Luther White, 25, of the 7200 block of Honeybush Drive in Mt. Airy, were both flown by Maryland State Police medevac to University of Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
