Carroll County Sheriff's Deputies Search For Suspicious Man at Bus Stop

The man approached a 14-year-old boy who was exiting a school bus Wednesday afternoon.

Sheriff's Deputies are searching for a man who approached a 14-year-old boy at a bus stop in Manchester Wenesday afternoon, according to a Carroll County Sheriff's Office press release.

On November 2 at approximately 3:30 p.m. Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the 4700 block of Schalk Road Number One for the report of suspicious activity.

The investigation discovered that shortly before they arrived, a 14-year-old boy was exiting a school bus when he was approached by an unknown suspect in a dark colored, older model regular cab pick up truck, with red stripes, a brown interior and a loud exhaust, according to the release.

The suspect stopped his truck and ordered the boy to get into his vehicle. When the boy refused, the suspect exited the truck causing him to run to safety. The suspect then returned to the pick up truck and fled towards Manchester.

The driver of the vehicle was described in the release as a white male in his 40's, approximately 5'9" tall, with a light colored beard, balding "salt and pepper" hair, wearing black mirrored sunglasses, and a short sleeve camouflaged t-shirt.
