Eldersburg National Night Out Celebration Aug. 7
The Freedom Area Citizens' Council will host a free event at the Sykesville Fire Department.
Neighborhoods across the county will be joining Aug. 7 to celebrate the 28th Annual National Night Out event. Eldersburg's event, , is moving to the grounds of the Sykesville Fire Department.
National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and is co-sponsored by various law enforcement agencies. The event promotes neighborhood spirit and police-community relations.
Eldersburg will celebrate its 4th Annual National Night Out at the Sykesville Fire Department grounds on Aug. 7 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Hosted by the Freedom Area Citizens' Council, the event is free and offers entertainment, food, informational booths, activities for children and drawings. The Carroll County Sheriff's Department will be on site with a command center, bike patrol, squad care and more.
