Reward for Information About Eldersburg Bank Robbery

The Maryland Association for Bank Security (MABS) is offering a reward for information about a recent bank robbery.

On Thursday, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, a man entered the Bank of America, in the 6400 block of Ridge Road, at about 9:20 a.m. He showed a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money, according to Sheriffs.

The robber didn’t hurt anyone and left with an “undisclosed” amount of money.

He’s described as a black man in his 30s, 6-foot-three-inches to six-foot-five-inches tall and weighing between 220 to 250 pounds, possibly with a scar on his left cheekbone, according to officials.

The robber was wearing an Orioles baseball cap, blue jeans, a white shirt, a grey, zip up hooded sweatshirt, black sneakers and a black face mask that covered his face from the top of his hairline to the top of his chin.

The Sheriff’s Office said the robber may have been a passenger in an older model, burgundy Honda or Toyota 4-door sedan, something like a Camry.

MABS is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the robber and anyone who may have been involved.
