Serious Motor Vehicle Collision Sends Two to Shock Trauma

Two were seriously injured when a car hit a tree in Mt. Airy Wednesday.

Maryland State Police are investigating a motor vehicle collision in Mt. Airy that sent two to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore Wednesday. 

Shortly after 11 a.m., Michael James Quick, 22, of the 7200 block of Honeybush Drive in Mt. Airy, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro East on Harrisville Road when the car went off the road and struck a tree head on. 

Quick and front seat passenger Martin Luther White III, 25, also of the 7200 block of Honeybush Drive in Mt. Airy, were transported to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore by the Maryland State Police Aviation Division.

The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by Trooper J. Lantz of the Westminster Barrack. Anyone with any information regarding the accident is encouraged to contact the Westminster Barrack at 410-386-3000.
