Sheriff Obtains Arrest Warrant for Suspect in Eldersburg Burglary

Burglary suspect already being held at the Frederick County Detention Center on unrelated charges.

Carroll County Sheriff’s Office investigators have obtained arrest warrants charging Dustin Joseph Eid, 25, of Sykesville, with first degree burglary and felony theft.

Eid has been charged with the burglary of a residence in the 5000 block of French Avenue in Eldersburg, according to police.

According to a police report, the burglary occurred between May 25 and 28. Taken were jewelry and currency valued at over $5,000. In addition, there was more than $400 in damage to the home.

Police said they recovered jewelry valued at approximately $5,000 which was stolen during the burglary.

A detainer has been filed with the Frederick County Detention Center where Eid is currently incarcerated on non-related charges. Upon his release, Eid will be brought to Carroll County for his initial appearance on the burglary and theft charges.
