Sheriff's Office Responded to Three Thefts From Carrolltowne Mall Kmart This Month

Two of the incidents resulted in arrests while a third is still being investigated.

Carroll County Sheriff's Deputies responded to three separate incidents of theft from the Carrolltowne Mall Kmart in Eldersburg this month. Two of the thefts resulted in charges while a third is still being investigated, according to Major Phil Kasten of the Carroll County Sheriff's Office. 

On Thursday, March 3, at approximately 4:30 p.m., deputies arrested Christina Frances Tegeler, 24, of Woodbine for theft of approximately $200 of clothing, toiletries and office supplies from Kmart. She was charged with one count of theft less than $1000 and released on bond by the District Court Commissioner.

On Wednesday, March 9, at approximately 4:50 p.m., deputies arrested a 14-year-old male from Marriotsville for theft of approximately $20 of clothing from Kmart. He was charged as a juvenile with one count of theft less than $1000 and released to his parents pending a hearing in Juvenile Court.

On Monday, March 15, 2011 at approximately 1:50 p.m., Kmart employees reported the theft of approximately $400 of video games and electronics by two black males. The incident is under investigation and charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
