State Fire Marshal Investigates Suspicious Fires in Westminster
Three fires are under investigation.
Deputy State Fire Marshals are seeking help from the public to assist with finding information about three fires in Westminster this weekend, according to a news release.
The first fire on July 22 occurred at 101 WTTR Lane and involved a vacant 10’ x 15’ wood frame shed. Damages to the shed are estimated at $5,000 according to the news release.
The additional two fires occurring on July 23 and July 24, involved a three-story wood frame barn. The barn was completely destroyed in the second fire, which resulted in approximately $10,000 in damages.

A dark colored four-door Volkswagen sedan was observed speeding away from the area during the early Sunday morning incident. The news release reports that the occupants of the vehicle were described as being four white males believed to be between the ages of 16 and 20.
