Sykesville Fire Department Assists with Water Rescue After Heavy Rain

The heavy rain yesterday caused flooding in the area.

A car and its driver were left stranded Monday after heavy rains caused severe flooding in the area, according to the Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department

Howard County Water Rescue alerted the Sykesville Freedom Fire Department that a car was in the water at Forsythe Road and West Friendship Road in Sykesville around 2:45 p.m. Monday, according to the report. 

Sykesville Fire & Rescue assisted in rescuing the driver from the car stranded in 3 feet of standing water.
