Sykesville Man Wanted in Fourth of July Abduction, Assault
The man fled the area after allegedly abducting a child and assaulting two others.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Sykesville man who allegedly abducted a child and assaulted two others Monday before fleeing the area, according to a press release.
Michael Andrew Terrell, 31, is wanted for the alleged abduction of an 8-year-old boy and the assault of both a 31-year-old woman and a 2-year-old girl.
Around 5 p.m. on Monday, deputies from the Carroll County Sheriff's Office were called to a home on Buckhorn Road in Sykesville. During the investigation, it was discovered that Michael Andrew Terrell assaulted both his girlfriend and his 2-year-old daughter, according to a release. He then took his girlfriend’s son and fled the area, according to the sheriff’s office.

He let the boy go unharmed in Mount Airy around 45 minutes later, where police were notified of his whereabouts.
Terrell is described as a white male, 31 years of age, 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair. He was last known to be driving a brown 1996 Oldsmobile four-door vehicle, with Maryland registration 9AD 5239.
