Sykesville Police Chief Williams Retiring

The Sykesville Town police chief John Williams is retiring next month.

Sykesville Police Chief John R. Williams Jr. will retire on Oct. 1, according to town officials.

The announcement of Williams' retirement will be made official on Monday night when the mayor and town council gather for a regular meeting.

Dawn Abascher, town manager, confirmed the timeline for Williams retirement on Friday. She deferred to the town clerk for further details.
