Sykesville Police reported four thefts from motor vehicles occurring sometime between Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning around Hawkridge Road, Wimmer Lane and Harlan Lane.
The suspect(s) are targeting unlocked cars with GPS units parked in driveways and in front of residences.
The police department urges residents to remove all valuables or store out of site and keep vehicles locked.

The incidents are ongoing, according to the police, who added the thefts appear to be random, with no prior thought given to what type of vehicle or location will be the next target.
