The charges date back to Oct. 2, 2010, when police found 40-year-old Steven R. Hobson dead in his apartment on Main Street in Westminster shortly before 2:30 a.m. An autopsy revealed that Hobson died from stab wounds, police said.

Brooks and Reese were arrested in Baltimore on Oct. 4 on parole retake warrants. They were serving sentences in the Jessup Correctional Institution. After being served with these most recent indictments, they were transferred to the Carroll County Detention Center in Westminster.
