Winfield Fire Department Announces Young Winners of Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest

The local fire department held a poster contest for Fire Prevention Week.

Winfield Fire Department partnered with two local schools to host a Fire Prevention Week poster contest. 

The fire department also visited Linton Springs and Winfield elementary schools earlier this month to discuss fire safety and show students their gear and fire trucks.

The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, Nov. 13 at the at 2 p.m. in the meeting room, according to the station's website. Anyone not present to receive their award will receive their ribbon at school the following week.

The Winfield Department is holding their open house on Nov. 13 from noon to 3 p.m.
