Carroll County Commissioners Elect New Officers

Commissioner Howard was re-elected as the president of the board.

On its one-year anniversary, the Carroll County Board of Commissioners elected new officers, holding a vote at the end of its open meeting Tuesday.

The commissioners needed a total of three votes to win elections for president, vice president or secretary.

The results were as follows:

Commissioner Doug Howard, District 5, was re-elected president of the board.
Commissioner Richard Rothschild, District 4, was elected vice president of the board, which was previously held by Commissioner Haven Shoemaker, District 2.
Commissioner Dave Roush, District 3, was elected secretary of the board, which was previously held by Commissioner Robin Frazier, District 1.

The officers assumed their new roles immediately.
