Eldersburg and Sykesville Today: Board of Education Meeting

1.) Small business networking
The South Carroll Business Connections group from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. today for its weekly networking ritual. Stop by the Harvest Inn if you can make it!
2.) Board of Education meeting
The Carroll County Board of Education an open meeting at 5 p.m. Citizens wishing to participate must be on time and complete a blue information card for the Board president.
3.) Dog training classes
Under "rolling enrollment," participants can begin by showing up at 7 p.m. any Wednesday night at the community building at 325 Royer Rd in Westminster with their pup and an hour to spare. This Canine Lifestyle Academy package costs $150.
4). High School Baseball and Softball
• The Liberty High School varsity baseball and softball teams Westminster this afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
• The South Carroll High School varsity baseball and softball teams Manchester this afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
5.) Today's Forecast
The National Weather Service calls for a 30 percent chance of scattered showers in the afternoon and a high of 55. That will give way to partly cloudy skies and a low of 38 in the evening.
