Sykesville Police Department First Annual "Safe House" Gun Turn-In

The Sykesville Police Department announces its first Annual “Safe House” Gun Turn-in program and is asking you to make your home safe for the holidays by bringing any unwanted firearms and ammunition to a drop-off point at the Sykesville Police Department. The “drop-off” site will be opened on Saturday, November 19th between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The site will be manned, but no questions will be asked of persons dropping items off.  If you request it, a receipt can be provided for your records.

Please do NOT bring any loaded weapons to the station, if you need help in making sure a firearm is safe, please call and we will come out to you.
