Plans for Carrolltown Mall to be Announced at Town Hall Meeting

Carroll County Commissioner Doug Howard will host an April Town Hall meeting on Monday.

A representative of the Carrolltown Mall developers will attend a Town Hall meeting on Monday to announce plans for the site. 

Commissioner Doug Howard will host the next Town Hall Meeting at the Sykesville-Freedom Fire Hall, 6680 Sykesville Rd on Monday, April 22 at 7 p.m.

This Town Hall Meeting is the fifth in a series of eight monthly meetings designed to keep District 5 residents informed about issues facing the Freedom-Eldersburg-Sykesville area, according to a county news release.

Commissioner Howard will provide an overview of the county budget process and the decisions made to date at the meeting.

Additionally, Dixon Harvey of Black Oak Associates will unveil redevelopment plans for Carrolltown Mall. According to a news release, Harvey will discuss plans for the project and an approximate timetable for completion. He will also answer questions residents may have regarding this project.

Commissioner Howard said, “At long last, our community will see plans for the redevelopment of Carrolltowne Mall. This is an important milestone in our community and should be an exciting meeting.”
