Prayer Supporters Rally at County Building (VIDEO)

Close to 100 people rallied to show support for the County Commissioners, whose policy is to begin County meetings with a prayer.

The local organization, 'We the People of Carroll County', put out a call to support the Commissioner's prayer policy, and close to 100 citizens responded by rallying at the county building on Center Street.

The current Board shared their "guiding principles" immediately after taking office in December. One of those principles is to implement prayer at county government meetings.

In a recent interview, President of the Board of Commissioners Doug Howard, R-District 5 said that an "overwhelming majority" of feedback the Board has received on the issue of prayers has been in support of the prayers.
