Century High School Student Wins County Photo Contest
The contest was part of the county's 40th anniversary celebration.
Grace McLaurin, a senior at , captured the award winning image in the 40th Anniversary Recreation and Parks of Carroll County photo contest.
McLaurin was awarded a $250 Ritz Camera gift card for her photograph taken during a Piney Run field trip taken by the Honors Digital Design in Photography class.

During the contest, a winner was featured each month of 2011 as new monthly themes were introduced. McLaurin was selected as the grand prize winner for the year.
The photos had to be taken at a Carroll County Recreation & Parks program or event that occurred during the year.
