Friendship School Receives Grant to Boost Enrollment

The school was awarded a grant from the Education Foundation of America.

The Educational Foundation of America has awarded an $80,000 grant to enhance strategic marketing efforts that will focus on increasing enrollment and developing public awareness of dyslexia and language-based learning differences, according to a press release. 

The grant will be used over a two-year period. The EFA’s contribution will help attract students along with parents and educators, according to head of school Teresa Ankney. 

“With the EFA’s grant, we move closer toward our goals: increased student enrollment and greater awareness of Friendship School’s unique role within the community,” Ankney said. “We want more children with dyslexia and language-based learning differences to enroll in Friendship School and receive the high-quality education they deserve.”

The goal of the EFA is, “the continuous development of effective teaching materials to improve the quality and quantity of education nationwide.” 

“The Education Foundation of America recognizes our potential and has shown a high level of commitment to our strategic marketing plan,” said Ankney.
