Friendship School Reportedly Signs 10-Year Lease, Receives Grant

The non-profit school in Eldersburg reportedly signed a lease with Merritt Properties.

in Eldersburg has signed a 10-year lease with Merritt Properties, according to an article by Citybizlist. 

In addition, Merritt has awarded the school a $100,000 grant to be used over the next two years, the report said. The grant matches a gift from the France Merrick Foundation.

Merritt has also agreed to provide the school with an additional grant to help pay for 2011 operating costs.

The $2.2 million building was constructed by Merritt Properties in 2006. 

Friendship School was founded in 1998 for children with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences.

Friendship has programs for children in grades 1 through 8 from Carroll, Howard, Frederick, Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Prince George's and Montgomery counties.
