Liberty High School to Give Back at Wounded Warrior Night

The school will recognize those in the armed forces at tonight's football game.

In honor of Veterans Day, has launched a two-week fundraising effort titled "Liberty High School Gives Back" where students, faculty and staff are working to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project.

The home football game tonight at 7 p.m. against is Military Appreciation Night where the school will be recognizing men and women who have served in the Armed Forces.

So far, online donations through Liberty for the Wounded Warrior Project have reached the $200 mark with the school hoping to raise $2,000 by the game's halftime.

"The goal is to build school-based and community philanthropy as we work to support a worthwhile cause," read a statement on the school's website. "We have set a lofty fundraising goal, but we know that we can reach it and would love to announce exceeding it at halftime of the game."

Donations can be given in two ways:

 1. By Mail - Donations should be sent to Liberty High School, c/o Jared Wastler, 5855 Bartholow Road, Eldersburg, MD 21784. Checks must be made out to Wounded Warrior Project. 

 2. Online - Click here and select "Liberty High School" on the right to make a donation.
