Teachers Protest Against Pension Bill in Eldersburg

Supporters held signs during rush hour at the corner of routes 32 and 26.

Teachers, supporters and local residents stood at the corner of routes 32 and 26 during rush hour Wednesday showing their opinion on the proposed pension pass backs.

Carroll County Public Schools Superintendent Stephen Guthrie said that if Maintenance of Effort (MOE) isn't fixed and teacher pension costs are passed back to counties, class sizes will increase, and services and extracurricular activities will be cut.
