Snow Keeps Century and Liberty Bands at Home

The Knights and the Lions have big shows this weekend.

and marching bands had placed to complete Saturday, but the snow changed their plans for them.

Century had planned to travel to Morgan State University to take part in the USSBA Remo invitational, while Liberty had a trip scheduled to Hanover to be in a Cavalcade of Bands event at South Western High School. Both events were canceled.

Both have big events this week. Century host their home show Saturday with Calvert Hall, Urbana, Paint Branch, Broadneck, Leonardtown, Marriotts Ridge, North East, Arundel and Century scheduled to perform.

Liberty gets on the bus to travel to Hershey, Pa. for the Atlantic Coast Championships. The Lions will complete in the Tournament of Bands event on Nov. 6 in Group 2. Group 1 takes the field at 8 a.m. and Group 2 follows at 3 p.m.

Liberty goes into the championships seeded fifth in Group 2. In front of them is Southern Regional at 95.85, followed by Deptford at 95.00, Matawan Regional, 93.00, Huntingtown, 92.40 and Liberty 92.15.
