South Carroll Hands out Diplomas Sunday Afternoon
The 44th annual graduation was held at McDaniel College.
South Carroll handed out 284 diplomas to the Class of 2012 Sunday afternoon at McDaniel College.
Principal Eric King honored the accomplishments of the class while vice principals Jocelyn Quinn York and Jeff Hopkins highlighted the school and special awards in the class.
One of the speakers to the class was Katie Roenick, senior class advisor. She told the class "It's difficult to write a speech to say goodbye," but she also noted at the end that she didn't cry.

The graduation address was given by Ed Wharton, chair of the guidance department. He spoke about values and said "Your experiences will help your values grow."
Board of Education members Virginia Harrison and Gary Bauer handed out the diplomas.
