South Carroll High Seeks Athletic Hall of Fame Nominees

Do you know someone deserving of being inducted into the South Carroll High School Athletics Hall of Fame? Nominations are open through Nov. 1.

South Carroll High School has started an Athletic Hall of Fame.

Now all it needs is an inaugural class.

The South Carroll High School Athletic Department is seeking nominations of student athletes, coaches, administrators and other individuals who have made an impact on the program since it began in 1967.

In a news release, the department said, "The purpose of the Hall of Fame will be to recognize and honor former athletes, coaches, administrators, and others for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the school’s athletic program."

Inductees will be honored annually during the winter sports season, the release said. Honorees will receive a plaque, which will be displayed in the gym lobby.

To nominate an individual, find the nomination forms on the school website—  http://carrollk12.org/sch/ —or by contacting Athletic Director Jim Horn at  jbhorn@carrollk12.org or 410-751-3575.

Nominations will be taken through Nov. 1, and the first induction ceremony will be held in January 2014.
