"It’s supposed to be intense. It shouldn’t be an easy win. Winters Mill is a good team and they played hard," she said.

Century had five short corners in the first half compared to one for the visiting Falcons. That changed in the second half as Winters Mill lined up for six corners and the Knights only two. Century also took four shots in the first half and the Falcons had none. The Falcons took three shots compared to one for Century in the second half.

Winters Mill kept the pressure on in the second half and Shelby Trentzsch found the goal with 15:18 left in the game.

Century defeated Winters Mill 1-0 during the regular season. The Falcons ended the season with a 8-4 record while the Knights improved to 13-2.

When asked if the team had a goal to return to the state playoffs, Duryea said, "I honest take one game at a time. It’s in the back of our heads that we would like to get there. You have to see how our team is progressing though out the season. The fact that they are working together, really well together that you start thinking about that."
