County Prep Standings: Big Week for Basketball and Wrestling
The South Carroll and Liberty girls take to the court and the Century, Liberty and South Carroll wrestlers return to the mat Saturday for the county tournament.
The South Carroll and Liberty girls have big basketball games this week.
They are tied on top of the county standings with a 12-1 record. The Cavaliers go first as they host North Carroll Monday evenings. The Lions tip off Tuesday at Westminster against the Owls.
Century, Liberty and South Carroll wrestlers return to the mat Saturday for the county tournament. The event will be held at Westminster High School.

With a few games left, it’s time again to go at the high scorers for each team. Ryan McTavish leads the Cavaliers and the county with about 20 points a game. Steve Seeley tops Liberty and is fourth in the county with 15 points a game. Century’s top scorer is Dan Virbickis with over 12 a game, which places him 10th in the county.
Maggie McCormick sits second in the county, while leading Liberty with 15 points a game. Nikki Heim has missed a few games for the Cavaliers and is hitting about 13 points. Alice Mercer tops Century with almost 1 points a contest.
