DeVincent of Liberty High Named Athletic Director of the Year

DeVincent will be honored at the annual MSADA Banquet in April.

The Maryland State Athletic Directors Association has named Ed DeVincent, Athletic Director at , as the Athletic Director of the Year for District 1B.

The MSADA selects a representative from each of the thirteen districts that comprise the organization to honor each year.

The awards are presented to athletic administrators who have made a significant impact on the lives of students and used athletics to achieve progress in the social and cultural environment of the school and the community, according to a Carroll County Public Schools press release.

The selected individuals are eligible for the next three years to be selected as the Maryland State Athletic Director of the Year.

"Ed is well-respected among his fellow athletic directors. He has a strong rapport with coaches and the community and is a role model for students and staff," said Jim Rodriguez, Supervisor of Athletics for Carroll County Public Schools. "DeVincent is known as a problem solver and decision maker who exhibits exceptional organizational skills."

DeVincent, an graduate of Liberty High School, will be honored at the annual MSADA Banquet to be held on Saturday, April 28 in Ocean City.

Previous winners from District 1B from Carroll County include Troy Warehime, Craig Walker, Terry Molloy, and Randy Pentz.
