Fall Sports Standings: State Field Hockey Tournament Kicks Off This Week

The road to the state field hockey tournament gets underway this week with the regional playoffs.

Century has earned the seed in the 2A North bracket. The Knights advanced to the state finals last year, before falling to Glenelg.

Liberty kicks off the tournament Tuesday facing Eastern Tech at home at 3:30 p.m. The Lions are seeded eighth in the bracket. The winner moves on to face Century on Thursday.

South Carroll is grouped in Class 1A West and faces Francis Scott Key in Uniontown on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. There are only six teams in the region and four of them are from Carroll County. Manchester Valley is the top seed, North Carroll is second and Key is third. The Cavaliers are the sixth seed.
