Final Spring Sports Schedules, Standings and Scores

The past week was big for Liberty High and Century High -- the Lions brought home the school’s first softball title, while the girls state team defended their championship.

In the 2A softball final, Liberty came back to defeat McDonough 3-2 in their final at-bat. Without an individual champion, Liberty claimed the 2A girls title at Morgan State with their depth.

Century captured the sixth girls lacrosse crown with a 12-9 victory over Queen Anne’s in the Class 2A final at UMBC.

In tennis, Century’s Paige Olson was third in the girls singles, while Liberty’s Lauren Williams and Grace McCarthy, were third in girls doubles.

The South Carroll boys made their first trip to the state finals. They lost to Fallston, 14-7, in the Class 2A-1A final at UMBC.

The Century boys were third in the Class 2A state track meet. Julian Woods captured the 300 hurdles, while placing in the 100 high hurdles, long jump and triple jump.
