High School Lacrosse: Cavaliers Move Back Into First Place

The South Carroll boys topped Century to move into first place in the county.

South Carroll won a physical battle with neighbor Century, 18-7 in a game shorted by lightning.

The Cavaliers got good news as in Westminster the Owls fell to Winters Mill 6-5. The Cavaliers move back into first in the county with a 3-1 record. Westminster stands at 2-1 in the county.

Asked if hearing the Westminster score gave his team a lift, Cavalier coach Bill McDermott said, "We did, yes we did. We thought that Winters Mill had a good shot against them and they did. It puts us back with a chance to get a piece of the county."
