High School Lacrosse: Westminster Ahead of Liberty as Weather Interrupts Game

The game will be resumed at a later date.

The Westminster women were leading Liberty 16-12 when weather forced the lacrosse match to halt.

The clock read 11:47 when the referees called the coaches together and told them they saw lightning. The rule states that the teams and fans leave the stadium for 30 minutes. Lightning was still lighting up the sky, so the game was halted for the night.

The game will be resumed at a later date.
