High School Sports: Century and Liberty Rank in Baltimore Sun Metro Poll

Multiple and high school sports teams have kicked off the season with big wins, earning them spots this week on the regional rankings published by The Baltimore Sun.

Both schools had three mentions each in the weekly regional poll in soccer, volleyball, cross county and field hockey.

Liberty ranked as No. 7 right below Marriott's Ridge for boys' soccer in the Sun poll with two wins so far this season.

Both schools ranked for volleyball with Century listed in the No. 8 spot with a record of 3-0 and Liberty rounding off the rankings at No. 15 with a record of 2-1.

The schools also are listed as close competitors for girls' cross country with Century coming in at No. 7 and Liberty listed at No. 8.

Along with cross country and volleyball, Century is also listed on the poll at No. 7 for field hockey.
