Local Teams Hit the Field in Friday Night Playoff Games

Football

No. 3  South Carroll, 6-4, meets No. 2 Walkersville, 9-1, in the regional semifinals tonight at Walkersville High School. The big matchup takes place at 7 p.m. with the winner earning a trip to the regional finals.

saw their county winning streak stopped at 17 games on Nov. 5 as Westminster High School won 39-6. But South Carroll still earned a ticket to tonight's game after Westminster lost an appeal for using an illegal player against Manchester Valley and had to forfeit their win and was forced to end their season.

Boys' Soccer

South Carroll takes on Marriott's Ridge High School in the State Semifinals tonight. They will play at Bel Air High School starting at 7:30 p.m.

Volleyball

The Century girls topped Oakdale Wednesday night shutting them out 3-0 and advancing to tonight's regional finals against Middletown.

The Knights will play host tonight at 6 p.m., with hopes of moving on to the State semifinals.
