PHOTOS: Sykesville Park Rocks on Friday Evening
JoeyDCares Orchestra plays as part of Concert in the Park series.
Sykesville’s Millard Cooper Park rocked to the sounds of the JoeyDCares Rock Orchestra on a recent Friday night.
The orchestra took the stage as part of the Sykesville Concert in the Park. There are two weeks left in the 2012 season.
Pet Rock will perform Friday, and D.L. "Pigeon" McCauley will offer a Tribute to our Armed Forces and fundraiser for Sykesville military memorial on Aug. 17.

The JoeyDCares Orchestra is part of the Freedom Area Recreation Council. Music students under the guidance of adult mentors make up the members in the group, which is under the leadership of Joey Dundore.
The JoeyDCares Orchestra will also play Aug. 7 at the Sykesville Fire Department as part of , and on Aug. 18 at Sykesville’s Main Street as part of the Amazing Baby and Child Expo.

The Concert in the Park series is sponsored by Sykesville’s Parks and Recreation Committee on Friday nights in July and August at the park. The concerts are from 7 to 9 p.m.
