Community Update

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community (Carroll County). The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.  The principal Toys for Tots activity which takes place each year is the collection and distribution of toys in the communities, Carroll County,  in which a Marine Corps League Detachment, Detachment 896 of Westminster). Collection boxes are located at Carroll County Dance Center, Martins Grocery Store and Chili’s restaurant, Copy post located on Londontown Blvd and Car Finders located on Liberty Road in Eldersburg. The point of contact in Eldersburg is Owen W. Schultz USMC Retired, Marine Corps League Detachment 896 Westminster, (910) 750-2644. Boxes will be out until 14 December 2013. Donate a new, unwrapped toy today and make a child’s Christmas in Carroll County brighter. We always need toys for Boys and Girls 9-12, however, any toy will do. Thanks.
