Relay for Life at Liberty High Rescheduled

Bad weather forced organizers to cancel the annual event on Friday, June 1.

 

The Relay For Life walk at has been rescheduled for Friday, June 15, volunteer public relations chairwoman Kathy Martin said.

Registration will begin at 3 p.m., and kids activities will begin at 5 p.m., she said.

The opening ceremonies will begin at 7 p.m. and the Luminaria ceremony is scheduled for 9 p.m. Closing ceremonies are set for 7 a.m. on Saturday, she said.

The event was for Friday, June 1, but throughout much of Maryland put an end to it and

This year, organizers have arranged for magicians, dance performances, music, a DJ, food, special areas for cancer survivors and caregivers, a silent auction, and much more, Martin said.
