Week Ahead: Congressman Visit, Free Movie, SCBA Networking Event and More
A short list of things happening in and around Carroll County this week.
Here are some reminders to help you get through the week starting Monday, June 24.
Government
- Congressman Chris VanHollen will be at Carroll Community College Monday at 5 p.m. for a "meet and greet" with constituents.
- The regularly scheduled meeting of the Westminster Mayor and Common Council Monday evening has been CANCELLED.
- Pick-your-own strawberries, cherries and peas at Baugher's Orchard. Check out other local pick-your-own orchards.
- Check out a free family movie at the Carroll Arts Council on Tuesday, June 25 at 7 p.m. The movie is E.T. The Extra Terrestrial and seats are first come, first served.
- Listen to a Civil War soldier talk about the Battle of Gettysburg (ok, it's a re-enactor) at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 30 at the Sykesville Gate House Museum.
- Registration for the 2014 class of Leadership Carroll closes June 30.
- South Carroll Business Association (SCBA) after hours event at Oscar's Ale House (formerly Cobblestone) on Tuesday, June 25 from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
