Oklahoma Road Middle School opened its doors in 1997 and is one of nine middle schools in the Carroll County PublicMore School System. The Maryland School Assessment scores for Oklahoma Road Middle School have consistently been among the highest in the state. The school prides itself on emphasizing learning by practicing "critical, creative, and self-regulated thinking." 

Extracurricular activities include drama club, girl's chorus, jazz band, robotics and yearbook. 

Century High School

Century High School, located in Southern Carroll County and established in 2001, is a public high school under theMore Carroll County Public School System. The school was built to alleviate overcrowding at the nearby Liberty High School and South Carroll High School. Century is recognized as a career academy high school. Students are entered into one of four academies based on career interest in their sophomore year and are encouraged to take at least six credits within their chosen academy to earn an Academy Certificate.

Numerous activities and athletic teams are offered through Century High school including drama, band and championship teams in cross country, lacrosse and outdoor track . 

Century High School was ranked 829 out of 1300 in Newsweek Magazine's top schools in the United States. 



Sykesville Middle School

Sykesville Middle School opened in 1967 after it was remodeled from an existing high school. The school serves 872More students and is one of nine middle schools under the Carroll County Public School System.

Sykesville Middle offers six clubs to the student population that encourage community service and extended learning opportunities including Lego League, Pond Club, Multicultural Club, SHOUT, Ski Club and the Student Government Association.
