Eldersburg Man Assaulted Outside his Home, Police Search for Suspects

Police say two unidentified individuals assaulted a man after attempting to get into his home.

Just before 11 a.m. Monday, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a home in the 1900 block of Stillwater Road in Eldersburg to investigate a serious assault, according to a news release.  Deputies said they found a 57-year-old male bleeding from a head wound.  According to officers, an unknown male and female approached the victim's residence and asked to use the phone.  The victim denied the couple access and a few minutes later left his home. As the victim was getting in his car, the two subjects, both armed with unknown weapons, accosted him at his vehicle, demanding that he let them inside his residence, according to an official report. Police: Man Forced Himself into Home, Assaulted Homeowner

Police are looking for Joseph Jerome Page Jr., wanted on several charges in a Taneytown assault. He is armed and dangerous, officials said.

Sheriff deputies are searching for a man who they say assaulted a Taneytown homeowner.  Just before midnight Sept. 13, police say Joseph Jerome Page Jr., 34, of Taneytown, forced his way into an acquaintance's home in the 500 block of Willow Avenue in Taneytown. According to a sheriff's report, Page punched the homeowner in the face before threatening him with a handgun. The homeowner was able to push Page from the residence and police say Page fled the area. Sheriff’s deputies attempted to locate Page, and an unknown black male, approximately five feet, 11 inches tall, who accompanied Page to the home, according to police.  They left the scene in a 2005 Silver Infinite SUV, Maryland registration 6AJ8179. Police Search for Suspect in Eldersburg Weekend Armed Robberies

The incidents occurred late Friday.

Maryland State Police troopers are searching for a suspect in two weekend armed robberies at Eldersburg businesses on Friday, according to a press release.  On Friday, Feb. 18, at about 10 p.m., troopers from the Westminster barrack of the Maryland State Police said they responded to the rear of the Eldersburg Plaza Shopping Center, at 1438 Liberty Road in Eldersburg, for reports of a first-degree assault in which a white male suspect had brandished a handgun. The victim, who works at an establishment in the shopping center, told troopers he walked to the rear of the shopping center to get an item from his car when he witnessed the suspect standing near his vehicle. Man Charged in Golf Club Assault on Visitor

The victim was treated and released from Carroll Hospital Center.

Police have charged a man in an attack in which they said that a golf club was used to repeatedly hit another man and his car while parked in a driveway. Troopers from the Westminster State Police Barrack responded to the 2600 block of Baltimore Blvd. in Westminster Monday evening for a reported assault. The victim, who was transported to Carroll Hospital Center, told police that he was attacked after pulling into his friend's driveway. Police report that a vehicle pulled into the driveway behind the victim. The victim was still sitting in his vehicle when the driver of the other vehicle, Josh Lee Wagner, walked toward the victim and began yelling at him, police said. Four Suspects Charged in Carroll County Bar Slaying

The victim, assaulted at a bar in August, later died from his injuries.

Following indictments by a Carroll County grand jury, four suspects Saturday were charged in connection with the death of a Frederick County man who was assaulted at a Keymar bar in August and later died from his injuries.   Three of the suspects are identified as John D. Robey, 52, and his two sons, Jonathan L. Robey, 20, and Thomas J. Robey, 22, all of the 9800 block of Crossfield Road in Hagerstown. Each of the suspects is charged with second degree murder, manslaughter, first degree assault and second degree assault.  John Robey and his two sons lived on Main Street in Woodsboro at the time of the assault. Suspect Sought For Robbery With Baseball Bat in Sykesville

The incident took place at High's Convenience store on Village Road.

Maryland State Police are searching for a suspect in an early morning assault and robbery at High's Convenience Store in Sykesville Friday, according to a press release.  Troopers have obtained a warrant for Daryl Lowan Webb, 21, of the 1800 block of Amanda Lane in Finksburg. He is charged with armed robbery, first degree assault, and theft. Uncle Charged With Throwing Baby on Driveway

Sheriff's deputies have charged a Utah man in an assault on a 22-month-old.

A Utah man has been charged in Carroll County in a series of assaults, including one against his 22-month-old niece whom police say was thrown down on a driveway New Year's Day. Stephen Morningstar, 34, of Orem, Utah, faces charges of attempted murder, assault and reckless endangerment. According to the sheriff's department, at approximately 6:40 p.m. Jan. 1, sheriff’s deputies responded to calls reporting a domestic assault at a home in the 1800 block of Uniontown Road outside of Westminster. Police Search for Five Suspects in Christmas Eve Assault

Police are looking for suspects who assaulted a man in Belle Grove Square on Christmas Eve.

The Westminster Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance with the investigation of an assault which occurred in Belle Grove Square (West Green Street and Bond Street) at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Dec. 24.  According to a news release, the victim reported that he was accosted by a group of approximately 5 young black males as he walked through the park.  The victim was knocked to the ground and held down by members of the group.  During the assault one of the suspects cut the victim lightly on the stomach with a box cutter or similar tool.  The victim suffered several small scratches on his stomach during the assault which did not require treatment.  Police said that they believe the suspects were familiar with the victim …
