It's not a statue in front of the office building that bares his name but Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller did receive a bust of himself this week courtesy of the Regional Manufacturing Institute. Sen. Kathy Klausmeier, a Perry Hall Democrat, gave a sneak preview of the small, light-weight bust of Miller moments before presenting it to the Senate's top dog. "You can't have too much Mike Miller," Klausmeier said. The technology is similar to what was used in a scene of Jurassic Park 3 where a copy of a velociraptor's larynx was recreated. The institute offered legislators in Annapolis the opportunity to have themselves scanned into a computer and get busts of themselves. Miller seemed impressed with the petite bust but joked that it …

One local furniture chain will be reimbursing more than a half-million in weekend sales after Ravens speedster Jacoby Jones returned the third-quarter kickoff for a touchdown in Super Bowl XLVII Sunday.
Some lucky Baltimore-area residents enjoyed their new couches a whole lot more in the second half of Sunday's Super Bowl. Because Jacoby Jones returned the opening kickoff of the third quarter for a touchdown, Gardiner's Furniture will fulfill a promise to refund all purchases made in their stores over the weekend. Sports blog Deadspin has a video of the 108-yard return, the longest play in NFL postseason history. On its Facebook page Sunday night, Gardiner's Furniture posted: That was amazing! John Yingling of Crawford-Yingling Insurance & Risk Management has been to the big game before. He saw the San Francisco 49ers take on the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XIX in Palo Alto, California.
