Winter is lingering in Maryland. A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for the region as a wintry mix is forecast for Tuesday morning and possibly Friday. The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting snow and sleet, possibly mixed with freezing rain, before 10 a.m. Tuesday. There is a 90 percent chance of precipitation with little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Rain may continue after 10 a.m. with a high temperature for the day near 46 degrees. Wednesday and Thursday will be sunny with highs in the upper 30s and lows in the 20s according to the NWS. Skies should be sunny and breezy on Tuesday, with a high temperature in the mid-40s, dropping to the high-20s over night. We may see more snow this week – beginning today – according to the National Weather Service (NWS), but temperatures should pick up as the week goes on and we’ll be close to “spring-like” weather by the end of the week. There is a chance of snow showers today mostly after 2 p.m. until very early Tuesday morning.
