You may have heard of a "blessing of the pets" at area churches, or maybe a "blessing of the backpacks," but one local church is going a step further with a first annual "blessing of the motorcycles." Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church in Eldersburg is holding a special event at noon on April 22, and is inviting local motorcycle riders to consider attending for a blessing for safe riding this spring. "Each year, at the start of spring, you can hear and see the numerous motorcycles and riders stretching their legs.
