N.Y. Man Sentenced in Martin's Grocery Store Fatal Stabbing
Zamani Lawson pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter.
A man who admitted to stabbing his co-worker to death in Martin’s Market will spend three years in prison for voluntary manslaughter, according to court records. A Carroll County Circuit Court judge on Wednesday handed Zamani Lawson, 27, a 10-year sentence with seven years suspended in the June death of 22-year-old Bergari Zardiashuili, according to records. Lawson pleaded guilty earlier this year. Lawson, from Jamaica, N.Y., and Zardiashuili, from Brooklyn, N.Y., were working as contract cleaners at Martin’s Market, according to the Maryland State Police. John said it perfectly. Maybe he should live next door to that idiot judge when he's released in 18 mos on good behavior. This is something everyone should be outraged about. 3 years for killing a human being...unbelievable! Its judges like that who should be locked up with this killer Lawson next time he kills because he will do it again.   more ›
